Portugal's Football Federation has handed Cristiano Ronaldo a 30-day suspension for his comments over coach Jorge Jesus.
Ronaldo handed 30-day ban from Portugal action
Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended from Portugal duty for 30 days and handed a small fine for his explosive comments last month.
Ronaldo left the Portugal squad last month, and subsequently claimed Jesus had "broken his word".
The 41-year-old then released a long statement in which he explained why he felt wronged, though he admitted he had made a mistake and should receive a punishment.
Jesus left the door open for Ronaldo to return to action for Portugal in next month's Nations League games.
The Portuguese Football Federation did not confirm when Ronaldo's ban starts.
Portugal host Denmark on November 14 before facing Wales three days later.
Ronaldo has also been handed a fine of just €255.
He has scored 981 career goals, and is the highest-scoring player in the history of international football.
