Fulham 0-2 Crystal Palace: Visitors cruise to one-sided victory
A Joachim Andersen own goal and Daniel Munoz strike earned Crystal Palace a deserved win at Fulham.
Crystal Palace produced a dominant display to beat Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Oliver Glasner's side scored a goal in each half to win a game they controlled throughout and can only regret that they did not score even more.
Eberechi Eze went close early but Palace soon broke the deadlock via an own goal from their former defender Joachim Andersen, who headed into his own net on 37 minutes.
The referee ruled out a Jean-Philippe Mateta strike for offside following a VAR review shortly after the break but Daniel Munoz then did double his side's lead on 66 minutes.
The full-back lashed home to finish off a scintillating counter-attack led by Mateta, who charged forward before playing in Munoz.
Fulham rarely had a sniff and drop to ninth, while Palace move 16 points clear of the bottom three in 13th.
Data Debrief: Toothless Fulham punished
Considering this looked poised to be an even match, it ended up being remarkably one-sided, as Palace won a fourth consecutive top-flight away match. It is the first time they have achieved such a feat.
Fulham drew 10-10 on shots with their visitors, but created an xG of just 0.23 for those efforts compared to Palace's 1.22.
Indeed, Fulham failed to have a shot on target in a Premier League home match for the first time since May 2021.
Only Sasa Lukic created more than once chance for the Cottagers, while Alex Iwobi - so dangerous recently - had just 39 touches in the match.
It means after winning consecutive matches, Marco Silva's side lose ground in the race for European qualification.
