Luis Enrique revels in 11th straight PSG win
Paris Saint-Germain made it 11 straight wins as they saw off a stubborn Troyes 1-0 in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Illia Zabarnyi scored PSG's goal in a 1-0 win at the Parc des Princes.
PSG's 11-game winning run is the third longest in the club's history, after a streak of 12 between April and August 2015, and then one of 16 between December 2015 and February 2016.
It is also the second time Luis Enrique has recorded 11 consecutive wins in his coaching career, after doing so with Barcelona in 2015.
PSG head into the international break sure of their place at the top of Ligue 1, with 23 points from their 10 matches.
“Eleven wins in a row – that's good," Luis Enrique said.
"But what stands out for me is that we've managed to win all our matches between the two international breaks.
"It's the first time we've done that. As is usually the case against teams who are in a tricky position in the table, it was a difficult match. I think we created more chances than usual, we were looking to score more goals, but they defended very well.
"I'm very pleased, especially when we win this sort of match. Winning this match was special, as it always is when we play at the Parc des Princes."
PSG have won their last five home matches in all competitions, their longest run in a single season since August-October 2024 (also five).
They have scored in each of their last 54 home Ligue 1 matches (135 goals), the longest such run by a team since Nice between May 1975 and February 1978 (55).
Zabarnyi has scored two goals in five Ligue 1 matches this season, which is already his highest tally in a single league season and one fewer than in his first six campaigns in total.
"We're in good shape, good form, and we just need to continue," Zabarnyi said.
"Everything in the team is working well. We didn't do anything special, we just keep working, keep doing our thing and now is just our time. I've worked a lot and kept focusing, and now I'm playing games, and playing well, I think, and I deserve it."
