Belgium talent Moreira completes €50m move to Milan
Following the additions of Goncalo Ramos and Mario Gila, Ruben Amorim's AC Milan have now signed Diego Moreira from Strasbourg.
The Belgium international has signed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri following a reported €50m deal, with another €16m in add-ons.
Moreira scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in 76 appearances for Strasbourg following a move from partner club Chelsea in 2024.
The 22-year-old's 13 assists in Ligue 1 are the joint-fourth most across the last two seasons, while he led Strasbourg players in chances created (66), dribbles completed (93) and take-on ending carries (100).
He also made one appearance at the World Cup for Belgium, featuring off the bench in their dramatic round-of-32 win over Senegal.
Moreira was reportedly in advanced talks with RB Leipzig to replace Yan Diomande before choosing to join Milan, who begin their 2026-27 Serie A campaign on Sunday against Torino.
He could make his competitive debut alongside Goncalo Ramos, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, while Ruben Amorim will look to make a winning start as head coach.
Amorim could become the first foreign manager to win his opening Serie A match in charge of Milan since Leonardo in August 2009.
