Nasser Al-Khelaifi reaches 800 games as Paris Saint-Germain president
The PSG chief marks a major milestone, notching 800 matches at the helm of the French giants.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi brought up his 800th game in charge of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) during their Ligue 1 clash against Nantes on April 23 (Thursday) morning, underlining more than a decade of transformation at one of Europe’s most powerful clubs.
Al-Khelaifi, who has served as president since 2011 following the Qatar Sports Investments takeover, is now the longest-serving president in the club’s history. His leadership has coincided with a period of unprecedented growth, both on and off the pitch, turning PSG into a global football powerhouse.
Under his stewardship, the Parisian club has dominated French football with a record-extending 13 Ligue 1 titles while steadily building its European pedigree. That journey reached its pinnacle in 2025 when PSG secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title - a historic breakthrough after years of heavy investment and near misses - which also led to their World Team of the Year win at the recent Laureus World Sports Awards.
The current 2025/26 campaign further reflects PSG’s sustained competitiveness, with the club remaining at the top end of Ligue 1 while competing across multiple fronts, including deep runs in this season's Champions League and success in international tournaments.
As PSG continue their push for domestic and continental honours, the 800-game milestone serves as both a reflection of past success and a marker of enduring ambition. With the club still competing at the highest level, Al-Khelaifi’s tenure is showing little sign of slowing down.
